Clinic said they'd do my 17 year old's lip filler "with parental

Bit of a strange one and I want to know if I'm reading this right before I say anything to anyone.

My daughter turns 18 in November. She's been on at me for months about lip filler and I'd basically decided we'd wait until her birthday and I'd pay for it as a present, with the caveat that we go somewhere properly qualified.

She found a place locally, messaged them asking, and they came back saying they'd be happy to treat her before her birthday "as long as a parent attends and signs a consent form". She was thrilled. I said I'd look into it.

Looked into it. From what I can find, injecting filler into anyone under 18 in England is a criminal offence, full stop, and parental consent doesn't change that. No exceptions.

So either I've misunderstood something, or this clinic is offering to commit an offence and using my signature as cover?

Genuinely asking because I don't want to accuse anyone of anything based on twenty minutes of googling:

- am I right that there's no parental consent route at all

- if I am right, is this something you'd report, and to who β€” is it the local council, CQC, someone else

- and how common is this?? because they offered it completely casually, no hesitation, like it was a normal thing they do

Obviously she's not going there now regardless. But it's made me realise I have no idea how you'd even check whether a clinic is legitimate before booking.
