Home-based nail tech, been going about 2 years. Recently had a few regulars ask if they can just bank transfer me instead of card because I mentioned once that card fees eat into my prices. Now it's becoming a bit of a pattern, probably a third of my clients pay by transfer.

Β

On one hand, no fees, money's instant, everyone's happy. On the other hand I'm starting to wonder about stuff like: what happens with no-shows when there's no card on file, whether this looks messy come tax return time (I do declare everything, it's more about the paper trail looking chaotic), and whether I'm accidentally making my deposits policy unenforceable.

Β

Anyone else gone mostly-transfers and regretted it or is this actually fine and I'm inventing problems? What do you all do for deposits with transfer clients?
