Everyone swore dermaplaning fuzz grows back the same... mine feels stubbly?? What's going on
Had my first dermaplaning facial about 10 days ago. Loved the results immediately, makeup went on like glass, skin looked genuinely brighter for days, was fully ready to make it a regular thing.
Except now the peach fuzz is coming back and it feels... prickly? Not like the soft fuzz I had before. Everyone including my facialist and every article I read swore up and down that it's a myth that hair grows back thicker, "it's scientifically impossible, the hair just has a blunt edge" etc etc. And like I believe the science but also my face currently feels like a very fine sandpaper when I rub upwards which it NEVER did before??
So which is it:
- is the blunt edge thing literally what I'm feeling and it softens as it grows out? how long does that take because nobody mentions a timeline
- or did I get talked into something that's going to have me trapped in a 4 week dermaplaning cycle forever
- do people who do this regularly just stop noticing it or does it actually go back to normal if I never do it again
Genuinely not trying to start drama, results were great, I just want to know what my face is doing before I book the next one lol
